Just returned from a weekend at Blue Dolphin Holiday Park where we had a great time. Plenty to do inside and out with lots of free activities as well as some to have to pay for. Two pools, one inside and one outside both has lifeguards in attendance. Evening entertainment was very good with little competitions involving children of all ages.
We stayed on an electric touring pitch with three children 6,4, and 2. facilities good, the kids loved the arcades and swimming pool. We enjoyed the outside pool even though it was a bit chilly. Evening entertainment was good, lots to choose from. Theres a few food options on site, mainly fast food options and the papa johns delivers to your pitch! Only criticism is the soft play area is a little dated but other than that we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
It has been a few years since we last visited and at that time we felt it had become a bit run down. We booked this weekend as it was a really good price for us to take our touring caravan. Our pitch was great and the toilet/shower blocks were modern, clean and spacious. We loved the large dog walk area on the cliff top. We no longer have young children so didn’t visit the entertainment or swimming but we did stop by for a coffee in the outdoor seating area and again it all looked clean, modern, smart and welcoming. We will certainly visit again.
We had a 3 bed deluxe, the accommodation was really clean and comfortable, haven't been to a caravan for a really long time, didn't realise linen included didn't include towels. So you definitely need to take your own towels. It was also such a shame there was no seating on the decking. It would be great if there were just a couple of tables abd chairs out there. The cliff top location is beautiful and the walk in nice, however the children's play areas were poorly maintained. On site takeaway delivery was good. We didn't use other onside facilities due to covid restrictions but its a great base to explore the coast. Filey, whitby and Bridlington all had lovely clean beaches. Would definitely recommend as a base for a family break.
This year has been a record year for holidays in the UK next year is expected to be even better.
